History Our Plaice was founded in 1968 by Mike & Maureen Howard, moving to the present location 21 years ago. In September 2005 Mike & Maureen decided to retire from the day to day running of the shop, leaving it in the capable hands of son Paul and the friendly team, Paul comments that when his dad worked he only interfered 3 or 4 days a week, now he pops in each day just to make sure only the finest fish and best potatoes are being fried. So all Mikes old customers can rest assured he is always preparing the traditional excellent-quality food. Our grilled fish can be served with fresh salad as an alternative to traditional chips.
